Comparative Panasonic DT65B vs FT60B

The 2013 Panasonic FT60B and DT65B models are very similar, in terms of design and specifications. The picture quality in 2D and 3D is the same too, both models incorporate the IPS panel with 1600Hs of BLS, the same processor but the model DT60 includes Local Dimming.

The FT60 model is only for Europe, Panasonic eliminates some extras to reduce costs, will be for the European crisis?

The FT60 includes 2 pairs of glasses while the DT65 includes 4x glasses 3D. The FT60B doesn't incorporate the "touch pad" and the tuner is simple. The DT65B incorporates dual tuner to use the multi-window PIP.

Panasonic DT65B: Excellent 2D image quality, passive 3D, Viera connect, ...

The DT65 Panasonic model provides a greater variety of sizes, this fact clearly shows that Panasonic claims that this model is a "top sales". This model can be found in sizes from 42 to 60 inches. The 2D picture is excellent, with an IPS panel that provides passive 3D. Connectivity is good and the internet web browser supports flash, it seems that important brands have learned to past errors: USB compatibility,  web browser with flash support. These are prerequisites for users more important that SmartTV or the 3D technology .

Design:
This model has a modern base design with form of  "V", it is really elegant. The bezel is thin and the depth of about 3.5 cm. Best impression of the design when you see it live than if you see it on pictures.

Conclusion (verdict):
The IPS panel offers a 178 º  viewing angle. The BLS and the Hz of panel often is more than enough to see images fast as sports or action movies without ghosting. Panasonic has changed its panel and left the active 3D technology, considered the best of 2012, for their new Passive 3D, Samsung starts to be alone with active 3D. The 2D image is excellent and we can only say that perhaps some reflection on the screen if there is a direct lighting. We belive that it model will be top of sales during 2013.
