One of the best-selling LED TV offers active 3D, SmartTV, good picture quality with vivid colors. This model is the 3D LED TV cheaper that we recommended.

Low cost Christmas 2012:
A good choice if you want to buy a large LED TV yet economical series of Samsung EH can be a very good option. TVs actually offer a good price, but with a slightly inferior technology to the ES.
Samsung 32EH5300:This TV includes SmartTV and 3D. We can find it in different screen sizes and is our recommendation for a cheap LED TV.

What features to look for when buying a LED TV 2012

In this post we will try to explain what features should compare to buy a LED TV. The LED TV has many technical specifications, some misleading. If you want to buy a LED TV should look for the following features in the specifications.

• Refresh rate (Hz): CMR, MCI, PMR, Motion, ....
• Inch: 32, 37, 40, 42, 46, 47, 55, 65 (* 39, 50, 75, 84)
• Local Dimming
• Resolution: HD or HDReady
• Connectivity: HDMI / USB
• Compatibility: *. MKV, Xvid, m2ts, ...
• Tuner: DVB-T/C/S/T2
• Design
• 3D: Active or passive
• SmartTV: free browser, flash, ...
• Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi or Wi-fi Ready

Refresh Rate / Refresh Rate / HZ:
This specification is the most widely used to promote a LED TV. You have to be careful because the number of Hz that is not really the advertised "Refresh Rate". Each brand comes up with a name for the number of your TV Hz. Anyway the higher the number of Hertz better, but it is important to find the actual frequency to compare models. Screen Size:
The screen size is no doubt, the bigger the better. It should be clear that the input LED TV may look big but soon you regret not having bought a larger one. We suggest giving up other features in exchange for getting a bigger LED TV.

Image quality:
It is perhaps the most important factor in choosing a LED TV. Most buyers locate the image quality as the most important in choosing a LED TV.
It is also the most difficult to assess, we must remember that in a store room lighting is not at home, the LED TV are not equally calibrated, ... We can then consider to choose the best image LED TV?
LED TVs with local dimming, have better picture quality than the non-local dimming. It is perhaps the only technical specification that can be found along with Hz, to decide which LED TV has better image quality. The other factors that should be assessed are black levels, color saturation, screen glare, calibration, all important factors that are not in the technical features of the TV.

Display resolution:
It is advisable to buy a FullHD LED TV, especially after 40in size. Check out our post on the differences between HD or HD Ready.

Connectivity:
Currently there is only one important connector for our LED TV, the HDMI. We advise you to think how many devices you want to connect to your LED TV and look at the number of HDMI inputs having the model.
Besides there is also HDMI inputs USB ports, disks must look that is compatible with which files can play? and if your TV has the ability to record via USB?. They reproduce files of USB LED TV?
Another extra is the connection regarding the Wi-Fi, we have to look at the specifications if they incorporate Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Ready, which means it is compatible but you have to purchase it separately.

Tuner:
We should not have problem with the tuner but have some form of cable or satellite TV. In that case we should look to the DVB-T / DVB-C / DVB-S toTDT, cable and satellite respectively. The higher end models also include the DVB-T2.

Design:
Do not neglect this aspect because a large LED TV will decorate our living room for a few years. If we want to hang on the wall should seek the thinnest LED TV possible, and connections (HDMI, USB) side.

SmartTV:
The Smart TV allows you to connect to the Internet using applications or browser. Technology is still rather poor, if you want to use your TV as a computer screen LED better connect a PC via HDMI. Anyway we should look at the features if they have free browser or flash support.

3D:
Like the 3D SmartTV LED TVs to be used as an extra. The main problem is not the technology, is the content. Most people who have a 3D LED TV never use it. Anyway we must look if 3D TV is active or passive, if you bring sunglasses, 2D-3D converter, ... Different 3D models from Samsung, LG, Sony, ...

There are other aspects that do not appear in the specifications as input lag for gamers, the viewing angle, power consumption, processor, DCR, ...

Philips PFL3507: FullHD, PMR 100Hz, Wi-Fi ready, ...

The Philips PFL3507 LED TV is the lowest LED TV of Philips in 2012. In terms of connectivity, this TV incorporates Philips 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB and the possibility of adding Wi-Fi (WiFi-ready). It has good conectivity for a TV of this range. Of course this TV doesn't include 3D technology. The  PMR is 100Hz (equivalent to CMR in Samsung or CMI in LG) and it has  Smart TV too.

Difference between Philips PFL3507 and PFL3807
Both models are very similar. The main difference that we find is the consumption: The PFL3807 is Energy Label Class: A+ while the PFL3507 is Energy Label Class: A. The Brightness level is different too, 350 cd/m2 the PFL3807 and 400cd/m2 the PFL3507. The design is also different.

Conclusion (Verdict):

It's the low-end LED TV from Philips in 2012 but it incorporates features such as SmartTV, Wi-Fi Ready, ... In terms of technical features can not compare with the top models, anyway this model is a FullHD LED TV and it has well-connectivity, ...

If we buy a large LED TV (42 inches) of a good brand (Philips) and a good price this may be a good choice. Anyway you can check the Samsung EH5300.

Differences Samsung ES8000 vs. Sony HX853

Here are some differences between the models of Samsung ES8000 LED TV and Sony HX850 for those who are hesitating to buy LED TV for this 2012. Both models are the best LED TV Sony and Samsung.

Features: Samsung has better features, it has the best SmartTV. It includes other features like motion or voice control, ...

Image Control: Samsung TV is better in this aspect but Sony TVs has best settings standard, requiring minor adjustments

In conclusion both are very good televisions, probably the best. To choose the best LED TV 2012 will have to know the use that we will give regularly. The best tip is to visit a store to see them in live, not forgetting: consider the TV settings and the brightness of the store.

Philips PFL5507: UK Model with 3D (2D-3D converter)

The Philips PFL5507 LED TV is offered in 32, 40, 46 and 55 in. This model includes 3D technology and Smart TV. It is the same model that the PFL5007 but with 3D technology and 2D-3D converter. The Philips PFL5507 has the same design that PFL5007.  The depth of both models is 3.5 cm.

Difference between Philips PFL5007 and PFL5507?

These models are part of the lower-middle range of Philips LED TV 2012. The main difference is that the PFL5007 model doesn't include 3D technology and the PFL5507 includes the 3D Clarity 400.

LG LS3500: same specs that LS3400 with different design

The LG LS3500 is the same LED TV that the LG LS3400, the unique difference is the design. The design of the LS3500 has only 4,6cm depth while the depth of the LS3400 model is 7,4cm.

What should I do to take care of my LED TV?

The LED TVs are already in all stores and increasingly in homes, but ..What should I do to take care of my LED TV? We point some important aspects that we consider to extend the life and quality of our new LED TV.

Temperature: Perhaps it is the first aspect to consider, along with moisture. Our LED TV shouldn't be in places with high or low temperatures (especially if wet). That means it is better to place it on a wall than on a glass window. You should put the LED TV away of the radiators. The most important brands advise that the operating temperature is between 10 and 40 ° C. Outside this range may cause malfunctions of the LED TV. Ideally 20-25 degrees.

Humidity: The humidity and liquids are the biggest enemy of all electronic Gadgets. This aspect is dificult to control, because anybody knows wich is the humidity, in%, of their home. You don't go crazy, only a little common sense is enough. The humidity recommended by manufacturers is between 10 and 85%.

Lighting: it isn't advisable the direct sun light for long time, can also influence the temperature and reflects.

Still images: we must avoid leaving still images on our LED TV more than 2 hours. The advice if we want to use the TV as a PC monitor you should lower the brightness, minimize the possible effects of burning, and activate the screen saver of your computer. The LED TVs don't suffer from "screen burn" both as plasmas, you can program the TV to turn off automatically when we don't use the computer.

Cleaning: the screen is perhaps one of the most delicate parts of our LED TV. That's why you should clean it periodically, you don't let it accumulate dust or stains. If not cleaned periodically, the cleaning will be more aggressive. Always use specific cleaning products.

We can improve care for our LED TV with other things: include voltage regulators that regulate voltage overshoot and especially be careful with the controls of Wii and PSMotion. We strongly recommend tying motion controls to the hands of your children. Then and finally an example that should not be done with a LED TV if you want to keep it properly.

The SONY LED TV model is a high-end model, but it isn't the best. The picture quality is good but Sony hasn't improved the LED TV for 2011, these are the same TV with some improvement in terms of extras and little else.
The Samsung LED TV model is the top model of the ES6000 series. We recommend this LED TV because, being the mid-range of Samsung for 2012,  it offers a very good image quality.

As for the differences between the two models, the Sony wins with 200Hz refresh rate while the Samsung has 100Hz real. The refresh rate indicates that images with fast moviminetos will be better in the Sony HX753 TV. The ES6800 has a higher contrast to Sony, and it is better equipped: Dual-Core, USB top, glasses included, ...
As for reflection and viewing angle both models are very similar, so we can declare a tie between these two models.

The best way for a good choise is that you go to a shop, you see the LED TV and decide which you like better. Always remember that the design is not diminished because we choose the LED TV that will decorate our livingroom for several years (or so we hope).

LG LM860V: Amazing LED TV with all the extras (UK 2012)

The LG LM860V is the best LCD-LED of LG for 2012 (exept LM960V NanoLED). This model is offered in two screen-sizes: 47 and 55in. The LM860V is similar to LM760T, but this model includes more extras as "voice control" or Dynamic Colour Enhancer, it has more  power consumption too. Another remarkable specification is the dual-core procesor, that improves web browser and the multitasking.

This model has an amazing base stand. The frame of LM860V is almost invisible and the depth is only 3,3cm.

Sony Bravia EX653: UK model 2012 without 3D

This model, EX653, is the mid range of Sony for 2012. This Serie doesn't include 3D and is offered screen-sizes:  32, 40 and 46 inches. The BRAVIA EX653 incorporates Sony Entertainment Network, Wi-Fi, 4x HDMI, ...The picture quality is lower than the top models, HX, but Sony always makes very good television.

The Samsung  ES8000 has an amazing picture quality. Samsung added some  new features as Smart control or evolution kit. In terms of design it has spectacular base stand and a really thin bisel. Samsung 40ES6900: The same model that ES6800 with only 3cm depth

Samsung introduces its LED TV ES6900, it's the last model, presented in Setember 2012.  It has the same features that the ES6800: 3D, SmartTV, Dual-core processor, Wi-Fi, CMR 400HZ, ... The difference between these models is the Design. The Samsung ES6900 has only 3cm depth and the cabinet of TV is Chrome Silver Colour.

For us, the conclusion can be only one. If you want a 3D TV the most modern and high quality without being outrageously expensive this is a great TV. What you need to decide is between the models Samsung ES6800 or ES6900. Must be evaluated if we pay extra for a TV with other design.
