Differences between Samsung F5500 vs LG LN575V

Many buyers hesitate between the LG LN575V and the Samsung F5500, they are two of the most publicized models and are the best in LED TV without 3D.

The differences between these models of LED TV 2013 are many, but the Samsung F5500 and LG LN575V could be considered equivalent in terms of price and performance. Both models are some of the best LED TV without 3D of each brand.

LG stands for making good LED TV medium-low, while LED TV Samsung makes good  TVs in all categories. The price is somewhat higher in the Samsung.

The first difference to note is the panel type. The LG LN575V is IPS and offers wider viewing angle, better if you have to watch TV from the sides. This panel also offers good maximum brightness levels, necessary if there is much light in the room where you put the TV.
On the other hand the Samsung F5500 has a panel that provides deeper blacks, better if you use the TV in low light or dark.

Both models include a good SmartTV system with good compatibility, open browser and Wi-Fi Built.  These models have 100Hz. Anyway the LG LN575V is a bit more fluid for watching sports and Samsung something better for gaming.

Differences between the LG LN540V and the LG LN575V

The differences between the LG LN540V and the LG LN575V/LN570V is that the LN540V model hasn't SmartTV. The LG LN540V is one of the simplest LED TV 2013, only has two HDMI inputs and a USB port. As for picture quality is the best in its class, thanks to its IPS panel (not for all screen sizes). On the other hand the LG LN575V is considered one of the best LED TV 2013 without 3D. Our recommendation is to buy the LG LN575V.

The differences, apart from the SmartTV, are many: The LG LN540V doesn't include the XD-Engine MultiCore 6x or image optimizers. The LN575V includes USB recorder, ...

As for the connections the lower model includes only a USB port and two HDMI inputs, however the LG LN575V includes 3x HDMI and 3xUSB.

In conclusion we recommend the LG LN575V but if the buyer just wants a TV, no extras, on LG LN540V can be an option to save money.

Difference between ES7000 vs LA740V 2013

The Samsung F7000 and LG LA740V are LED TV 2013 models. These televisions include the latest novelty in SmartTV. Both models are the "second step" of the respective brands for the year 2013. The main difference between these models is the same that between LG and Samsung in almost all ranges.

The LA740V LG is a LED TV with passive 3D, while Samsung's is active 3D. You can see the difference between Active vs Passive 3D.

The LG TV has IPS* panel  that offers a wider angle of vision, a very good maximum brightness and passive 3D, which makes it an ideal for watching TV in environments with enough light and ideal for large families too, with 3D glasses cheap and good lateral vision. We added that in case of using the TV to play online games,  LG introduces a high input lag, which makes them unsuitable. The LG LED TV has 200Hz and 800Hz MCI.

The Samsung F7000 has a higher contrast, which gets better blacks, ideal for viewing the TV in low light environment. The active 3D provides better definition than the pasive 3D but also has its cons. As LA740V model, it has 200Hz and 800Hz CMR.

About  the SmartTV we can say that LG and Samsung are the two best in terms of this technology as well as compatibility. Both models has web browser.

The extras make a difference, while LG includes the "Dual Play" which allows two players to play full screen, incorporates the "Magic Control", Wi-Fi, ... Samsung includes the evolution kit to upgrade the TV hardware in the near future, Smart Touch Control, integrated camera, and dual tuner so you can record while watching another program.

Both models are similarly priced. Both are good LED TV 2013 with good image and many extras, ...

Differences between LG LN575V vs LS575T

The LG LN575V is a 2013 model while the LS575T is a 2012 model. These models are the best models of LG without 3D. Both TVs are SmartTV, one of the best today and the panel is IPS (These models don't mount IPS panel in all sizes. We council that confirm this spec with your seller), that offers a wide viewing angle and good brightness level. Compatibility is good and the browser supports flash.

Highlight differences:
The LG LS575T is higher in MCI with 200Hz while the new model has 100Hz. This feature allows you to see better fast images such as sports or action movies. The LG LS575T, in this case, is somewhat higher, also it includes an extra HDMI input.

The LG LN575S improve the equipment with Dual-Core processor allowing better flow when using the LG SmartTV 2013.

The 2013 model design has also been improved.

Differences between Samsung F4500 and F4000

The differences between these two models are quite important. The main difference, we might say, is that the model F4500 is a SmartTV with integrated Wi-Fi and the F4000 haven't the ability to connect to the internet. Also noteworthy is the differences in design specs, the F4500 model incorporates the new design of Samsung's 2013 stand. Another difference is that the F4500 model includes more connections: 3xHDMI and 2xUSB and the F4000 model only: 2xHDMI and 1x USB.

The common features are: HD Ready, according to the official website of Samsung. The CMR of the two models is also equal to 100Hz and the larger screen size is 32, the maximum recommended for non-FullHD TV. We hope that the price is very similar, so we recommend buying the model F4500.

Differences between LG LA660V and LA620V

The differences between the LG LA660V and LA620V, not very big. We can say that they are similar but the LA660V is improved.

The main differences are that the model LA660V has increased by MCI 400Hz and the LG LA620V has 200Hz. The screen technology is different too. The LG LA620V is Direct LED (back-lit) screen technology while the LA660S is LED edge-lit. They also have different design, has extras like "Magic Control" Dual-Play glasses, ...

Differences between LG LA660V and LA690V

The LA660V and LA690V LG models are virtually identical. The difference we have found is only in terms of design. While the LM660V incorporates a new base design, the LA690V model has the same pedestal as last year. LA660V model is more depth. Actually the only reason to choose one or another model is to see which we like better aesthetically.

The shared specs:

  • Edge LED with Local Dimming (IPS)
  • MCI: 400Hz (100Hz)
  • Dual-Core Processor
  • Tuners DVB-T/-C/-S
  • 3D passive with glasses included x4 and 2D/3D conversion
  • SmartTV, Wi-Fi and browser with flash
  • 3x HDMI and 3x USB
  • Dual Dual-Play with 2x Glasses included

Which model is better? ES7000 PFL7007 DT50 LM760T

Which model is better?  to choose a LED TV in 2013 between the Samsung ES7000,  Panasonic DT50, Philips PFL7007 and LG LM760T / LM760S. All these sets of different brands can be bought mainly for its price. We have not included any Sony model, in this case the HX750, Sony since 2012 models do not convince us.

The models ES7000, DT50, LM760T and PFL7007 have some commonalities and some clear differences. We have made our comments on these models:
Any of these models is a great TV.

SmartTV
The SmartTV is the platform that is used to access the Internet using applications besides high end TVs allow you to use web browser. The web browser must include flash to see streaming videos.
  • Samsung has the best SmartTV with many applications and incorporates web browser with flash.
  • LG has a very close SmartTV Samsung also includes the "magic wand" to navigate through menus. It also incorporates flash browser.
  • Panasonic does not have a good SmartTV, has come rather late to these opportunities and has few Apps compared to Samsung or LG. Web browser has Flash.
  • Philips has a poor SmartTV and even incorporates this browser does not support flash.
Anyway remember to navigate the TV is not the same as with a PC.

2D Image
There is quite a difference in the 2D image. Samsung and Panasonic have lots of contrast, Samsung offers the blackest blacks, ideal for viewing images in semi-darkness, not so important if we are to watch TV in a brightly lit room. The LG offers higher maximum brightness so it is ideal for bright environments. LG IPS panels offer increased viewing angle, if we are to see the TV from the side this is fundamental.

3D
Samsung and Panasonic 3D have the best active 3D, with more definition than passive systems but the picture looks a little darker and the glasses are expensive to buy and somewhat annoying when you use a lot. Passive 3D is fine, but using it has less definition is less tiring and more comfortable the LG passive 3D is considered the best passive 2012. This year 2013 many brands, Panasonic, have moved to a passive technology. Anyway the 3D content is lacking and it is common not to use it rarely, for us not to be an important factor to taking a final decision.

Games
One of the most important of the "gamers" is the response time of the TV, Input-Lag. This parameter is not specified by the manufacturer and must be measured. We compiled these values different reference sites:
  • Panasonic DT50 25-30ms - AVForums
  • Samsung ES7000 31ms - hdtvtest.co.uk
  • LG LM760T - 35-40ms - AVForums
  • Philips PFL7007: no values but is quite high.
In addition the technology incorporates LG Dual Play two players to play full screen.

Compatibility
Philips and Panasonic worse than Samsung and LG.

Design
The models have different designs, more sober or more modern. Philips presents new feature at this point, the Ambilight launches TV light behind the colors that appear on the screen, really spectacular. Panasonic has the best finishes in metal and glass.

Other aspects:
  • Samsung incorporates voice control and camera movement, dual core, evolution kit, ...
  • LG has his "Magic Control", dual play, ...
  • Philips noted for its Ambilight , dual core, 5 HDMI inputs, good sound, ...
  • Panasonic offers quality finishes and very good image.
Finally remember that all these models are large TVs and they all look great. If you have any questions or would like our advice please leave a comment.

Comparative Panasonic DT65B vs FT60B

The 2013 Panasonic FT60B and DT65B models are very similar, in terms of design and specifications. The picture quality in 2D and 3D is the same too, both models incorporate the IPS panel with 1600Hs of BLS, the same processor but the model DT60 includes Local Dimming.

The FT60 model is only for Europe, Panasonic eliminates some extras to reduce costs, will be for the European crisis?

The FT60 includes 2 pairs of glasses while the DT65 includes 4x glasses 3D. The FT60B doesn't incorporate the "touch pad" and the tuner is simple. The DT65B incorporates dual tuner to use the multi-window PIP.

Difference Between Samsung F8000 vs ES8000

The Samsung F8000 is a 2013 model, while the ES8000 is a 2012 model. The Samsung ES8000 is considered the best LED TV model 2012 and is expected to evolution, the F8000, will be one of the best LED TV of 2013.
The improvements implemented by Samsung in its 8000, is especially to respond to the most criticized aspects of its predecessor: Voice Control, processor speed, video streaming navigation (HDVC codec support), ...

One of the most significant improvements is the processor. The Samsung F8000 has a new Quad-Core processor, which according to Samsung ES8000 triples speed, useful for Smart TV speed and for image enhancement CMR.

In the image quality has been seen an improvement with the new technology "Precision Black", similar to MicroDimming, offering greater contrasts. The CMR has also increased from 800Hz  to 1000Hz, we do not notice it too much this difference in CMR.

The design remains very similar, Samsung has designed a new stand with a curved bar. The bezel is almost invisible with only about 6 millimeters. In our view the F8000 doesn't improve the ES8000 design. The screen size of F8000 series includes new models 65 and 75 inches in addition to the 46, 55, 60 inches.

Difference between Samsung F7000 vs F8000

The main difference between these models is the CMR and the Audio output. The F7000 has a CMR of 800Hz instead of 1000Hz of the F8000. Anyway have the same panel, we do not believe it is a noticeable difference.
The design, like every year, varies greatly from the 7000 series to the 8000 series. This is perhaps because they are very similar TVs in specifications and design makes the difference. We belive that the base/stand design of the Samsung F7000 is more successful.
As in previous years, there are no many differences between these models. The Samsung F7000 includes all extras: Smart Interaction: voice and movement, Smart Touch, USB recorder, ...

Differences Samsung ES6800 vs Sony HX750

What is your counsel in LED TV for 2012? The Samsung ES6800/6900 or Sony HX750? Differences, pros and cons.

These models can be considered equivalent because they has the same price. You can review the main aspects of both models or visit our posts of these LED TV models.
  • Sony HX753: Full HD 1080p in 2D and 3D, X-Reality Engine, Dynamic Edge LED backlighting, Frame Dimming, Sony Entertainment Network, built-in Wi-Fi, 240Hz Motionflow XR Enhanced with 480, ...
  • Samsung ES6800: HD TV 1080p, Dual Core processor, CMR 400Hz, Micro Dimming, 3D HyperReal Engine, 2D/3D converter, SmartTV, web browser, HDMI (x3), USB (x3), integrated Wi-Fi, 4.7 cm depth ...
The SONY LED TV model is a high-end model, but it isn't the best. The picture quality is good but Sony hasn't improved the LED TV for 2011, these are the same TV with some improvement in terms of extras and little else.
The Samsung LED TV model is the top model of the ES6000 series. We recommend this LED TV because, being the mid-range of Samsung for 2012,  it offers a very good image quality.

As for the differences between the two models, the Sony wins with 200Hz refresh rate while the Samsung has 100Hz real. The refresh rate indicates that images with fast moviminetos will be better in the Sony HX753 TV. The ES6800 has a higher contrast to Sony, and it is better equipped: Dual-Core, USB top, glasses included, ...
As for reflection and viewing angle both models are very similar, so we can declare a tie between these two models.

The best way for a good choise is that you go to a shop, you see the LED TV and decide which you like better. Always remember that the design is not diminished because we choose the LED TV that will decorate our livingroom for several years (or so we hope).

LED TV 40-42 "at a low price 500£ recommended for 2012

Until the new models appear in March 2012 (more expensive, of course) these are the LED TV we recommend: large (40 ") pretty (Smasung, LG, Philips) and cheap (less than 450£)
We can find deals at stores like Carrefour, MediaMarkt or 40-42 inch TVs with LED technology. The prices of these TVs from top brands is about 550£. If we look for in our list of online stores we can save enough money, or choose a better TV for the same budget.
TVs 40-42 inches (105cm) are suitable for a viewing distance from 1.70 to 4.50 meters. For450£
you can find a Sony or Samsung 40 "with an Internet connection, FullHD, ... provided that we give to 3D.
Selected TVs are very similar in terms of technical features, all with the latest technology and HDMI ports are all FullHD. The main difference in the marks, possibly Samnsung has earned a better reputation with LED televisions and Sony brand with TOP. In this case the screen LG42LV3550  is 42 "and has only one HDMI port, 40" and the only other that incorporates the Internet is the   Samsung UE40D5003.

As always we recommend you visit a store that has the physical model, because in the end we will have the TV in front of us a few years and the design is also important. We can see below the 3 models, we know nothing about likes writing but personally I love the design of LG but we can see that Samsung has achieved ultra-slim TV that does not exceed 3cm wide, ideal for wall mounting.

    Difference between Samsung D5000, D5003, D5500, D5520, D5700

TheSamsung D5000  does not have 100Hz SmartTV but it works like the D5500 which is identical except that if it consists of SmartTV. The D5700 includes SmartTV model and satellite TV tuner. To end the only difference between D5000 and D5003  is the exterior design. I should add that if we want a smaller TV can find the family category D4000 which is clearly lower with 50Hz refresh rate, but with a lower price too.
